Meet Emily

Hi! I’m Emily!

I have been working as a counselor since 2017 and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am a first generation college graduate and I am so grateful my journey brought me into this field. I cannot imagine doing any other work.

I am originally from Northwest Iowa and have recently moved to Spencer after spending five years in Rapid City, South Dakota. While I loved the Black Hills, for a variety of reasons, I needed to come back to Iowa.

I love being closer to my family again and being more involved with their lives. I am grateful for the opportunity to transfer my private practice to Spencer and support this wonderful community.

A few of my favorite things outside of the office:

  • Cuddling with my fur creatures (two cats Winnie and Ella, and one dog, Zoey)

  • Reading fiction, preferably thriller, psychological thriller, or supernatural books.

  • Spending time with family

  • Playing games, I love to try to beat my partner in Yahtzee. Even if I do lose more than I win!
